The Wexford Residence Inc. is a not-for-profit charitable Long Term Care facility located in Scarborough, providing Long Term Care and apartment accommodation for seniors. Established in 1978 and incorporated in 1995, The Wexford provides a comfortable, home-like environment for its residents.

Each apartment has a fully functioning kitchen with a stove and refrigerator.

Each apartment is also equipped with an emergency call bell system. When activated, a member of the nursing staff will respond to the call.

The Wexford Residence provides sheers for all apartment windows and undertakes the annual washing of the sheers and their replacement as necessary.

A bank of laundry machines and dryers is available on the lower level. They are at the disposal of the tenants from noon on each day, at no cost.

Floor monitors provide daily contact with the Tenants through an established system.

Meals from the main dining room are available for tenants to both counter the difficulty some are having with meal preparation and to provide a healthier diet. The service is available either in the main dining room or as take-out.

Should respite care be required, short term private admissions to long-term care are considered based on the medical history and level of care required. Details can be discussed by contacting the Director of Care.

There is also an active Tenants Association that initiates social programming on an ongoing basis.
